Thinking about your own funeral is never an easy thing to do. However, almost everyone says that once they’ve taken care of these essential arrangements, they feel so much happier and have peace of mind. The fact is there are lots of good reasons to consider a Perfect Choice Funeral Plan. As well as bringing you comfort and reassurance now, it relieves your loved ones of a great burden at a time when they will be distressed enough.
Unlike some of the plans offered by other companies which seem good value at first glance, we don’t make a restriction on the day and time of the service and sometimes the choice of crematorium, which they do for their convenience, not the family’s. Also, they can have a smaller contribution included towards the essential ‘third party costs’ which means that there can be a significant shortfall to be made up at the time of the funeral. Do check their ‘small print’ when comparing what is included.

As a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), we are committed to maintaining the highest standards and adhere to a strict code of practice. The plan we offer is the plan that NAFD believes represents the most robust and professionally managed pre-payment plan that is available to funeral directors and their customers.
A Perfect Choice Funeral Plan gives you exceptional financial security for your money. Every penny of the full value of a Perfect Choice plan (excluding the initial management fee) is held securely in a whole of life assurance policy and ring fenced to pay for your funeral when the time comes. The money is made immediately available and the funds cannot be used for anything other than your funeral for total peace of mind.
Perfect Choice funds are held in guaranteed whole of life assurance policies with a life assurance company that is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Funeral plans themselves are not regulated by the PRA and FCA but are regulated by the Funeral Planning Authority.

These prices are based on our cremation option and are valid to 31st March 2018.
Burial option
If you would prefer a burial, we will provide you with a quotation based on your individual specification, including a list of disbursements and your chosen cemetery or churchyard. To request a quotation for our burial option, please call us on 01978 261764.
The Personal Plan
We also offer a Personal Plan which can be tailored to your specific requirements. A funeral is a very personal occasion and many people have particular wishes. We can meet you at our premises, or in the comfort of your home, to discuss your wishes, provide guidance and advice and give you a detailed quotation.
Fees payable to third parties
Third party fees include a contribution towards crematoria costs, minister’s fee and doctor’s fees. Whilst we guarantee the funeral director’s services for your chosen plan, we have no control over increases in third party fees and are therefore unable to guarantee third party fees in advance.
Money paid towards the cost of payments to third parties will rise in line with the Retail Price Index (RPI). If the actual third party fees increase at a rate in excess of RPI, then your next of kin/executor will be required to pay any shortfall.
Management fee
All our funeral plans include a management fee of £180.00 paid to Perfect Choice Funeral Plans which covers the cost of the setting up and administration of your plan.
